Today I took a standalone Windows 2003 Storage Server and made it a member
server on my domain. This server has 2 nics, one is plugged into the network
and the other is unplugged, but it is enabled. Everything is working fine,
but on reboot I noticed that I got the following Event ID's in Event Viewer
on this server:

Event ID 11197 and 11166 The system failed to update and remove host (A)
resource records (RRs) for network adapter

I rebooted this server a couple times since joining it to the domain and
each time I get at least one of these Event ID's.

I suspect the problem may be the 2nd nic that I have enabled, but unplugged
from the network. I think maybe if I disable the 2nd nic, since I am not
using it anyways, that may solve my problem. Like I said, the server is
otherwise working just fine. Am I on the right track here? Any advice would
be appreciated. Thanks!

The NIC that is not connected to a network should be disabled whether it is
the root of the cause or not, if it isn't disabled, it just make diagnosis
more difficult.
