Event ID 1035 and MsiInstaller

Since November a lot of our PCs are logging Event ID 1035, MsiInstaller. It
appears all software that is MSI based attempts a reinstall/repair/reconfig.

Here is a sample of the text:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: MsiInstaller
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1035
Date: 2/4/2009
Time: 2:28:25 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: COMPUTERNAME
Description:
Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Microsoft SQL
Server Setup Support Files (English). Product Version: 9.00.3042.00. Product
Language: 1033. Reconfiguration success or error status: 0.

What computer manufacturer? Google produces a lot of responses. Dell is
often mentioned.

Support Center software installed.
