iam having this error after migration from win2000 server to win2k8 server
Ent.

The DNS server has encountered a critical error from the Active Directory.
Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly. The extended error
debug information (which may be empty) is "80090322: SvcErr: DSID-07020405,
problem 5005 (UNABLE_TO_PROCEED), data 0". The event data contains the error.

Please read my responses to your posted thread. The problems you are having
is because you shutdown the original DC. You have to keep it running. If you
do not want the machine, you must transfer FSMO roles, make the new machine
a GC (if not already done so), and demote the old machine, not unplug it for
testing the new machine.

Unplugging it is not the way AD works.
